Seems someone had a brilliant idea for a cool new trick to be displayed at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in front of a crowd of thousands. Take a look at the first paragraph from the article:

A metro Atlanta stuntman is recovering in the hospital after he was badly injured in stunt-gone-wrong during an intermission at Atlanta Motor Speedway’s Thursday Thunder. Thousands of spectators watched as Michael Anthony Mooney, better known to race fans as “The Great Moodini” failed to get out of shackles before the pace car he was chained to pulled way.

Did you read that correctly? The “Great Moodini” was chained up…sorry, “shackled” at the wrist to a chain. That chain was attached to the pace car. The pace car was supposed to go Vroom Vroom and take off and The Great Moodini was supposed to left standing chain free because…well…he’s great. Let’s just say it didn’t work out as expected.
