First time international traveler here;
My wife and I are flying to Italy next June for a wedding and thought we’d check out ticket prices now. To our surprise they are showing $2.3k round trip *per person*. There are two flights $500 cheaper with a 25hour travel duration.
I’ve read around some other threads where people saying the cheapest they go is usually $700ish round trip and $1300 high end. Are these prices just a result of inflation/airline staffing issues? Or are we looking at this at the wrong time/incorrectly?
Also worth mentioning we’ll have a 6mo old with us so we can’t do a huge layover to save money.
